What's it all about?

The Discover Scuba try a dive experience is PADI's introduction course to Scuba Diving. Within 2 hours of you arriving for the course you will be taking you first breath underwater in the luxury surroundings of a warm swimming pool or ocean. This could be the beginning of a whole new way of life for you. Imagine over 75% of the earths surface is ocean. How many people do you know who are qualified to dive beneath it? What can you see and what lives beneath the waves? As a diver you can find out for yourself.

PADI Discover Scuba Course

The course starts at with a classroom session when one of our highly qualified PADI Instructors explains the concept of Scuba Diving and shows you the equipment you will be using in the swimming pool or ocean later that day. After the classroom we go to the water either a swimming pool, lake or ocean where your instructor will show you how the scuba equipment is assembled. Your instructor will then brief you on what you will do over the next hour or two. Once in the water, your dive instructor will help you put your scuba equipment on and he/she will gently help you take your first breath underwater.

Before the time is up you will be swimming underwater using your scuba unit and experiencing your first encounter with the underwater world. Without doubt this will be one of the best experiences you will have ever had. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling

Who can do the course?

You must be 10 years of age or older on the start date of the course. You must be in good health and be able to swim and all participants must complete a medical statement prior to entering the water.

What do I need?

All you need is your swimming togs and a towel. We supply everything else.

We offer two types of Discover Scuba expereinces. You can either try out this life changing expereince in the comfort of our local swimming pool or go for the real thing on an open water day out. On an open water discover scuba day we will take you to the beautiful Donegal coast, where you really will see what lives beneath the waves.
